Heroes, Hope And Healing
Have you ever looked at group of people crossing the road hoping to see someone stand out from the crowd…maybe even a movie star or a Super Hero character straight out of your favourite movie? Well, I met two heroes on the weekend, and I have to tell you, if they were crossing the road I would not have recognized them. Why? Because they are two ordinary humans carrying out extraordinary acts of love and they gave me HOPE! Hope in the goodness of humanity – hope in the healing power of selfless love.
These two people are Foster Parents who have cared for over 100 children over the past 13 years and whilst having grown biological adult children, are now, as legal guardians, raising 4 more permanent foster children, some with unfathomable, traumatized beginnings.
They have provided HOPE to these children; they are facilitating healing and they are providing opportunities that previously did not exist for these babies of misdirected parents.
